Exploring the beautiful historic town of Petworth in Sussex
We love being able to go and visit the most incredible historic places and look for unique antique pieces at the same time. We were fortunate enough to be able to recently visit Petworth. The town is well-known for the National Trust property of the same name (which is also a wonderful place to explore), but did you know that the town is filled with beautiful historic houses and lots of antique shops?
The town has at least 8 antique shops and I’m ashamed to say I stopped counting and so this is the number that we managed to visit – there may well be more! There was also some lifestyle shops with refurbished vintage furniture pieces as well, for those who prefer their furniture in a shabby chic style.
We had a wonderful day scouting out the antique shops there and I would definitely recommend this town for a visit – both for its iconic country house, but also the beautiful town and wonderful antique shops.
